                  NYSC, OLUYOLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAPTER, OYO STATE.

           MINUTES OF CDS MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, 21^ST OF JULY, 2011.

OPENING

A prayer was said by Corp. Stephen Onyeluka which signified the start of the CDS meeting at exactly 11:05 am and the NYSC Anthem was sung thereafter.

The CD coordinator, Corp. Taiwo Folarin made the opening remark by pleading to the corp members present for the inability to use the normal venue for the meeting due to the strike action in the State.

The Asst. LGI, Mrs Olurole appreciated our effort of clearing the NYSC office surrounding last week Thursday as we defied the drizzling rain to cut grasses and clear the surrounding as our NYSC anthem lyrics says “under the Sun and in the rain”.

 MATTERS ARISING

Ø  NYSC 2010 BATCH PROJECT

The CD coordinator gave the report of the project committee on what they were able to suggest concerning the project:

1.       Provision of First Aid boxes to some schools.

2.       Completion of a toilet building under construction at a school at Olomi, Academy, Ibadan.

These suggestions were thrown open to the house for deliberation on which to pick.

A 2011 batch ‘A’ corp member advised to first know how much would be realized after contribution before making decision on the choice of the project. In reaction to this, payments towards the project start from the last Thursday of July to Last Thursday of August, 2011. Also contributions would be made towards the Send forth ceremony for 2010 Batch ‘C’ members during Passing Out week.

WELFARE

Voluntary contributions were made for provision of refreshments for the incoming 2011 Batch ‘B’ members and the Asst LGI exhorted us of the natural blessings that follow this kind of gesture.

ANNOUNCEMENT

CDS meeting would take a visitation dimension on the 4^th of August, 2011 to Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), Idi-Ayunre. All corpers are to meet first at the Local Government before going there.

CLOSING

The CDS meeting ended at exactly 12 noon with a prayer said by another corp member then the NYSC Anthem was sung thereafter.
